TEXTILE VISIONEN
Open Textil Space
This platform was created by four textile designers and artists in Bremen Germany with the aim of building a community where textiles can be thought about in new and innovative ways. Starting from the concept of making things by hand, Textile Visionen has created a shared textile workshop where it is possible to work with a variety of textile techniques, from the simplest to complex sewing techniques and playful experimentation with textiles.
Our vision is to think about textiles, their use, and consumption in new ways, bringing us closer to the community to inspire people to return to creating with their hands and preserving what they already have.
We have already carried out various projects, workshops, and formats, and we are working to consolidate this concept so we can continue offering it. We are a lively and curious community that wants to grow.
We are part of the international collective “Contemporary Crafts Studio,” with which we share a workspace with a store open to the public in the city center.
The founders of Textile Visionen are Rahel Jüngling, Claudia A. Cruz, Christina Weingärtner, and Johanna Kreuter.
